While Northern Spalting does not currently have any spalted lumber for sale, the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Toronto has started selling research pieces (with the proceeds funding the continued research into controlled spalting). This means those in the GTA have access to a perpetual supply of spalted lumber.
This site will be updated monthly with the types of spalted wood available. Most of the wood will be in log form, although the pieces can be milled to specifications for a fee. For a quicker update, feel free to e-mail northernspalting@mac.com, and I’ll send you our most recent list.

Spalting in log form is our new thing! The question is, of course, what to do with all the wood once we have our data. So we’ve decided to make our logs available to the public. Claim your log now, make a donation to U of Toronto’s Faculty of Forestry, and in 8-10 weeks the log will be yours after we’ve had a look at the results. Support spalting research AND get spalted wood. What more could you ask for?

-sugar maple (15)
-aspen (15)
