Charity Projects

Children's Education

In 1990, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is built on the principle that the rights and welfare of children should be the ‘first call’ on the resources of every society and state. Canadian Samaritans for Africa supports women groups in Nigeria, Uganda, South Sudan, Central Africa, Kenya, and Burkina Faso through micro-credit, training, and partnership so that they can grow wealth, and make some saving to support the education of children. We also provide scholarship for some of the children. Your support will help us pay school fees for more children especially orphans who are out of school because the women taking care of them do not have enough resources to pay their school fees and provide food and shelter for them

Women Empowerment

The Central core of our mission is to build on the assets of the African woman. We believe that patriarchal and social hierarchies are opposed to the God’s reign and pose serious threats to the human and cultural fulfillment. Canadian Samaritans for Africa has worked for 15 years in giving hope and support for women in Africa. We have built a women’s center in Nigeria, a Girls’ hostel in Uganda and we continue to support micro-credit for women co-operative groups in 10 ongoing project sites in Burkina Faso, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Kenya, and Uganda.

Water & Sanitation

Canadian Samaritans for Africa partnered with the Engineers Without Borders at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Ebonyi State University, Nigeria in 2006 to build a water system for the village of Adu Achi, a community of approximately 10,000 people in Enugu State in Eastern Nigeria. We have also built several wells in Nigeria, and Uganda in our support for local communities in the fight against water-borne diseases and infection.

We Need Your Help Today

COVID-19 is disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable people on the planet.  We have initiated the COVID 19 fund drive to help provide much needed education and materials to the women we support.

We can’t do this without your help. Your donation, no matter large or small, will help save lives.
