TGG provides expert consulting to renewable energy producers. We bring over 30 years of experience in energy regulation, finance and economics, as well as in-depth expertise in crude markets, technology and permitting and web strategy for energy companies.
From 2018 to 2022, we supported a renewable energy start-up, which is building a facility to convert waste cooking oils into very low-carbon renewable diesel (RD) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). These products will reduce the lifecycle GHGs by about 85% compared to conventional diesel and jet fuel.
Our client converts high-acid, waste-grade, cost-effective fat, oil, and grease into high yields of drop-in, very-low-carbon-intensity hydrocarbon fuels. The end products (RD and SAF) can seamlessly replace conventional fuels and are ready to use as-is. They can also be blended with conventional fuels and used with existing infrastructure and engines.
We assisted the start-up with:
- financial strategy and investor reporting
- regulatory processes and permitting
- interpretation of the impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act for senior management
- web strategy and digital communications to ensure that the start-up’s website was technically accurate, attractive to investors and consistent with permit and regulatory requirements.
TGG contributed our expertise and experience to position this renewable energy start-up as an important player in the green energy transition.
